My Origin Story
My name is Kailash Sarma and for a lot of my life, I suffered from debilitating speech anxiety and severe speech impediment which led to me being bullied constantly. I struggled to talk to my friends, family and would somehow always pretend to be sick whenever I needed to talk in front of strangers......... (what a lucky coincidence!)
It was only when my mentor taught me public speaking that my life changed.
I went from struggling to communicate with others to being able to talk to over 2,000 people in a year and in less than 5 years, presenting on TEDx, starting my own company, working in my dream job - a top Investment Bank and grabbing every achievement and accolade along the way I could from Representing Australia in Entrepreneurship to being awarded the Prestigious Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
It’s safe to say that it changed my life - financially, mentally and physically.
My relationships with my family and friends changed; I went from a shy, stuttering and anxiety induced guy to being able to be confident regardless of the scenario and the setting.
Now you might be thinking, this is Bullsh*t!
There is no way a transformation like that is possible, and I’m laughing right now because trust me, I thought the exact same thing when my mentor told me the benefits of learning public speaking.
But, who would have ever thought the guy who couldn’t speak to anyone is now running a company and working in their dream job whilst also being a TEDx Speaker.
A part of you wouldn’t want to believe that you could get from where you are to your dream destination (we cover why in the masterclass) and that’s okay - because I’m here to show you that you can become everything you ever wanted; In fact......
No Man’s land is the dangerous space on the battlefield that represents the journey from your current situation to your dream destination in life.
Sadly, No Man’s Land is where no flowers ever grow, where it’s full of traps and grenades with heavy artillery firing ensuring that many people fail. Now, don’t you worry - I’ve got you.
Like my mentor, I’m here to guide you through the trenches, tell you where to step, shield the constant whirring of machine guns of anxiety and help you climb the barbed wire of your nervous energy to safety.

If you were like me, you’ve convinced yourself that the trench you’ve dug yourself is all you need. That the sludgy, muddy walls of your limiting beliefs is actually nice. But, I also see your desire to cross No Man’s Land, constantly peaking over to see the bright light and opportunities into the next trench, wishing there was a way to navigate safely without ever getting blown up on the Land Mines.
Maybe you’ve seen a friend, a colleague or even family members where you want to be and deep down wish you were there as well. How do I know this? Because I was exactly in the same situation and if it wasn’t for my mentor telling me where to put my hands and feet (literally) and communicate the only path through - that I could be here to help you.
Now it would be my honour to help you across No Man’s Land because I’ve already safely navigated hundreds of people across and have learnt where to step and what to look out for in order to make sure you get to the other side safely. In fact this journey is what I’m the most passionate about doing in life.

It’s stated that the fear of public speaking can inhibit promotion by 80%, giving those who have learnt the skill an outrageous advantage over everyone else. Therefore, it’s no wonder that those that develop strong presentation skills and public speaking skills do well in schools, jobs and get promoted quicker than others. People who fail to develop presentation skills often have their careers stagnate or plateau.
Now with the increase of working from home, no longer can your manager and boss see the amazing work you are doing by looking over your shoulder in the office. Public Speaking is terrifying. People are watching you all the time. Hundreds of eyes are waiting for you to stutter. You might forget your lines and just humiliate yourself. I totally get it! I was in the same situation and I was terrified of failing to the point where I would avoid any opportunity to speak. But after seeing what’s across No Man’s Land from getting to travel the world to speak, getting my dream job, being in an amazing relationship - I ask you to let me guide you through No-Man’s Land. Everything I’ve learnt, from the hours painstakingly analysing hundreds of speeches from Winston Churchill to Malcom X whilst studying the great public speaking manuscripts from Dale Carneigie to Napoleon Hill, I have summarised in this course turning over thousands of hours into a fun, accessible and flexible course.

The way I look at it is: Public Speaking is like driving 120km/hr on the freeway. When you do a simple presentation to colleagues or have a conversation with a stranger, your speed reduces to 40 km/hr - Which seems soooo slow in comparison!
